About the Venice Firefighters Benevolent Fund

 

The Venice Firefighters Benevolent Fund (VFBF) has a primary goal to help others in need. To ensure the most effective use of donations, we operate as an all volunteer organization. We also use a volunteer case worker to review critical requests for the fund. We are a 501C3 non-profit charity.

 

These are just a few of the needs that the Venice Firefighters Benevolent Fund has been able to meet:

  • Financial assistance for medical needs.

  • Provided a scooter and batteries for a local special needs resident.

  • Provided vehicle repairs for a family in need to ensure transportation to work.

  • Hosted a Fire Department Christmas dinner for families with special needs children.

  • Sponsors Memmo Money Program to provide Mammograms for those in need.

  • Assists with hurricane disaster relieve.

 

We also work cooperatively with local vendors in providing assistance. We also use a variety of fundraisers throughout the year. Another source of revenue the VFBF is the rewards program.
